Description: The Amazon Spanish College offers a unique opportunity to study Spanish, Amazon studies, participate in volunteer projects and discover the Amazon rainforest.

Courses offered: Standard Spanish, Intensive Spanish, Spanish and Amazon Studies, Spanish and Dance, Spanish and Jungle, One to One Spanish, Volunteer Work and Spanish, Trainee and Internship programme. Our Language School also arranges eco-adventure excursions in the Amazon rainforest.

The Amazon Spanish College is centrally located in the town, one block away from the central Plaza Parque Santander, within close proximity to coffee shops and restaurants. You can stay with a Colombian host family or in one of our comfortable bungalows. Classes are held in the College that counts with 7 classrooms, coffee & juice shop, social areas, toilets and a large garden. In the evenings, Latin American movies are shown. Additional free cultural classes such as Amazonian handcraft, Colombian cooking, visit to local communities and others, make The Amazon Spanish College a distinct educational destination in Latin America.

Our Spanish Language School is located in Leticia, in the most Southern part of the country where Colombia, Brazil and Peru meet on the Amazon River. The unique setting of the city makes it a direct neighbor with the Brazilian city of Tabatinga and with the island of Santa Rosa, Peru. Leticia is a peaceful city with 40 000 inhabitants and an ideal place for your Spanish course. It also serves as the perfect base for eco-tourist activities as well as for the studies of wildlife and flora in the Amazon region.

Qualifications: No qualifications are required for the language courses. You can be a complete beginner.

The Volunteer & Spanish Work Program does not require specific studies in the field of interest, has a minimum commitment of 4 weeks. The length of the program can be 4, 6 or 8 weeks. Possible fields of interest could be social work (with children) and education (teaching English). The program is open to students with all levels of Spanish, even to complete beginners. 15 hours a week are Spanish lessons and 16 hours volunteer work.

The Trainee & Internship Program is a 12 week Program for students or recent graduates with specific studies in the field of interest. The Program requires and intermediate level of Spanish. The Program combines 10 hours a week of one-to-one private lessons with 20 hours a week of work. The Traineeship can be tailored to meet the specific needs of the student.

Documented experience in the area of interest is required for the Trainee & Internship positions, but not for the Volunteer positions.

Typical Volunteer: A typical volunteer works as an english teacher or in different social or environmental proyects.
