Description:
Learn about the rich world of Scottish wildlife and discover its envoronment - right in the heart of the Scottish Highlands and Islands. The course is centred at the outdoor capital of the UK - Fort William. From here you will travel to different locations in the Lochaber area to watch golden eagles, ride up the Nevis Range gondola, discover whales and dolphins. In the evening you can chill out in one of the local pubs or go on a ceilidh (country dance) in town.

Programme Day 1 Saturday: your day for getting to Scotland Day 2 Sunday: arrive in Scotland/travel to Fort William Day 3 Monday: Red deer husbandry, stalking and land use Day 4 Tuesday: Whale and dolphin watch Day 5 Wednesday: Geomorphology and upland habitats Day 6 Thursday: Golden eagle watch Day 7 Friday: SAMS/marine centre or activity day (canoe/raft/hike/climb or mountain bike) Day 8 Leave for airport/travel home
