Description:
You are needed to play a part in safeguarding the future of these rare bears. The Giant Panda is one of the most delightful and captivating of animals, yet one of the most endangered species in the world. The best scientific estimates place the total population of all Pandas at only about 1600.

The China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda (CCRCGP) is located in Wolong Nature Reserve and was established by the Chinese government in cooperation with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in 1980. Over the last 20 years, the centre has successfully resolved three main problems of Panda breeding, namely difficulty in mating, achieving pregnancy and infant survival. These factors have restricted Panda reproduction for a long time. There are now in a total of 43 litters with a total of 66 cubs.

The captive panda population of CCRCGP started from an initial population of just 6 to now over 70. In order to nurture the development of the captive Giant Panda, the State Forestry Administrative Bureau have invested 27.6 million RMB to build a new Panda base, which is whee you will be working.
