Description: The small island nation of the Maldives is renowned for its powdery white beaches, crystal blue lagoons and five star tourist resorts. This life of abundance and luxury however, does not reflect the lives of normal hardworking Maldivians.

With the country uniquely made up of some 1,100 islands widely spread out, logistically, it can be very difficult to maintain a consistent and effective approach to education, medical care, and industry. This inevitably leads to difficulties and hardship within the island communities.

Mission Maldives has a variety of volunteer projects and development programs to benefit local island communities, and inspire individuals. Your participation can make a marked and substantial difference to Maldivians, and in turn you will be able to put your own lives into a broader context, and have fun while you do it!

Our projects are chosen with care and with the advice of various government departments to ensure we offer programs which will direct the help where it is needed most.

Mission Maldives offers a diverse range of projects from conservation, teaching, medicine, sports to housing projects etc. Our volunteers get the unique opportunity to experience the paradise of the Maldives and learn all aspects of Island life.

Highlights: Our volunteer programs are as little as USD 499 for the first month and USD 300 for additional months enabling you to join our projects and make a real difference to this beautiful developing nation without breaking the bank.

Although our volunteers have daily work activities covering their chosen project all have plenty of free time to enjoy island life. Islands spend time relaxing, fishing, snorkeling or for those wishing to be a bit more active join in with the beach football, volleyball or deep sea fishing. What ever you choose it is sure to be an amazing experience you will wish to repeat again and again.

Qualifications: We offer a diverse range of projects plus the opportunity to become part of one of our volunteer communities.

Our projects cover a diverse range of skilled and unskilled projects to ensure we can find the perfect project for each and every volunteer no matter what age, background, nationality or experience.

There are no set qualification requirements for our unskilled positions. It is a simple process in which you choose your project, let us know when you would like to come and we will take care of the rest.

There are a few documents that we will need copies of in order to process your necessary visa/work permit etc but we will mail you all the necessary information.
