Description: Aspire by API offers two different international experiences in the timeless city of Florence: the Italian Experience Program provides students with an opportunity to explore Italian language, culture, art, and cooking; while the Soccer Skills in Italy program offers students with a passion for soccer the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train in soccer the Italian way, at the home of the Italian national team!

Highlights: In the Italian Experience program, all students must enroll in one morning class, and no prior knowledge of Italian is required. Afternoon art classes are optional but encouraged, and all students will participate in a hands-on cooking seminar on Fridays. In the Soccer Skills program, co-ed instruction is offered in the mornings, while the afternoons and weekends are devoted to Aspire by API cultural activities and organized excursions. Located in the renowned region of Tuscany, Florence is situated on the banks of the Arno River, surrounded by the rolling hills of the Italian countryside. It is a city that welcomes visitors, scholars, artists and students to walk her streets, relive past discoveries in the arts and sciences, and glimpse the rich history that permeates every inch of the city.

Aspire by API's Mission Statement: Aspire by API is the new division of Academic Programs International (API), an educational organization that has been sending university students abroad to study since 1997. Aspire by API is dedicated to providing comprehensive summer study abroad programs for high school students as well as gap year abroad programs for recent high school graduates. Our language and cultural immersion programs provide students with educational opportunities to learn and develop relevant global skills in an exciting, enriching, safe, and secure setting. We aim to start each student on a path of lifelong global citizenship through participation in an ASPIRE program.
