Description: BODI PEOPLE
Bodi are found in the Northern part of Omo valley and they share their territory, in the northern west and in the south with Tsemai, and in the east with Woyito River. Bodi society is based on clans and a powerful central role for the komorut. These komorut are ritual mediators who know how to bless the farmland, how to ask for rain, and who are the acting judges. The Bodi live with their cattle, whose color patterns play a significant role in their artistic life. They are an agrarian society and they have body fitness competition and the very fat one will be a winner. Normally, Bodis eat their food individually but sometimes men will eat with his peer groups.

NANGATOM PEOPLE
Nangatoms are found in the south-west Omo around the bank of Omo River and on the opposite site around kibish area. They are nomadic and sometimes they do hunting during the dry season. Nangngaton has their own language which is allotted in the Nilo-Saharan group and the language has 5000 native speakers. In this ethnic group they have very unique rituals when young people pass away the funeral will be held in their courtyard of his/her family and the family (the Father and the mother) will arrange the place where the dead body is going to rest and the funeral ceremony will be held after the gathering of the family members and close relatives.   

DASENECH PEOPLE
They are found in the southern Omo valley around Omo River and Lake Turkana, this area is the region where Ethiopia borders with Kenya and Sudan. they have their own language which will have a family of 30000 members and this language is grouped with the Cushitic language. They are semi-nomadic people and even if they are living around the Omo River they don't eat fish. They are also known as Geleb.

KARO PEOPLE
They are found in the south Omo Valley in the vicinity of Hammer Bena zone, and around the Dasenech area, the kayo people are very famous for their body ornamentations and body paintings and they have a language called Kere or Chere which is grouped under the Omoic Language and estimated member of the speaker are around 500 people. They live in very few villages like Duss and Korcho village Near to Mago River. They are semi-nomadic group; they have similar cultures with Hammer in terms of economic system, social and religious values, they are famous by the highly sophisticated hairdos and haircut culture.   

MURSI PEOPLE
The Muris people are found in the central omo valley south of Jinka; in the northern part of they share their territory with Bodi, south Nagngaton and Hammer, in the east Air Basketo and in west the Omo River. They have their own language and it is called Merzi or Murzu, it is grouped under Nilo-Saharan language groups and it has around 5000 speaker. Since the tribes they are living on the low and they are nomadic people, but nowadays they do some farming around the bank of Omo River by taking advantage of the fertile soil brought by Omo River. This small farming is cultivated by females, children or elders. Men are supposed to walk around 10 to 20 Km east Omo River per day finding resources for their domestic animals.

The Mursi people have different culture like body ornamenting and stick fighting. Stick fight is a traditional game in tribes and it is called "Donga". Donga is a very dangerous game that will cause physical damage or even death. Normally the fighters of the game will arrange themselves physically in their own village. Then they set a date for fighting and people will gather to see this game and they will fight in front of the elders, and the winner will get an award from the Elder; also an impressed lady by his bravery will give her necklaces and will be considered as an engagement. Also The Muris people are know by their body ornamenting culture. When women reaches the age of 20, site is cut between lower lip and mouth. Over the next year, the gap is progressively stretched until it is large enough for small circular clay plate, so the plate is replaced with the larger one, the process that is repeated until eventually the gap is large enough to hold the clay plate.
