This is a great program for people who want to experience life in the Chinese culture in-depth. The program has a focus on cultural exchange and host families are not only excited to learn English but also love to share the characteristics of their country, culture and cuisine.

You Need:

One option - Volunteer 5 hours a week helping your host family with Conversational English. That's it.
Another option - No English teaching at all. The family will help you improve your Chinese skills.

The more English exchange you provide, the lower the fee is. They are willing to provide a private room and sometimes dinner each day. BEIT will also arrange you Chinese classes and trips if you request.
