Travel The Unknown's Mission Statement: Travel The Unknown specialises in truly off the beaten track tours in some of the most remote places on Earth.
Due to the difficulties with arranging logistics and often permits, it was immediately clear that the majority of tour operators stayed away from regions that were unaccustomed to tourists. That didn't stop us. We have personally crafted our tours ourselves and the itineraries cover a wide range of places and activities, showcasing the best of each region. We have made every effort to ensure that our strict standards are adhered to, and sourced the most professional and friendly guides available, ensured vehicles are both safe and comfortable and found the best accommodation in each region.
Aware of the pitfalls of large tour groups, we have kept our ecological and cultural footprint as small as possible. By keeping our group sizes to a minimum, we bring the benefits of tourism without the negative aspects of mass tourism. We have gone to great lengths to ensure that our tours are 100% carbon-neutral and we invest a significant proportion of our income into local community projects, so that the locals benefit directly from our tours.
From remote North East India to exotic Colombia, we can guarantee you the trip of a lifetime.
