Description:
Week 1 - Introduction Week In this first week, you will learn about Thai language, to be able to communicate with the local Thai people. You will also learn about Thai culture, including Dos and Donts, while living in the local community. You can also try your hand at Thai cooking lessons. There is also opportunity to visit the Royal Temples and other historical sites. There is also a welcome party to meet your new friends. Week 2 - Culture Week This week you will get the opportunity to learn about Buddhism and experience the life of a Monk, by staying overnight in the local Temple. You will learn about meditation and chanting. You will also accompany the Monks in the morning to collect the ALMS. Another chance to visit local Temples and a famous Market. Week 3 - Trekking Week This week you will enjoy Khao Yai National Park, which is the biggest National Park in Thailand. You will be trekking, through the jungle for 3 days and 3 nights and you will get the chance to swim in the most beautiful waterfalls, in Thailand and be surrounded by gorgeous scenery. There is also a Safari Night included, where you can come across wildlife, such as deer, monkeys and elephants. After trekking we return to civilization and have 1 night in a resort and spa, to relax. There will be free time to go shopping, etc. In the 3rd week, if you wish to choose another volunteering project, such as teaching or boxing etc. then this can be arranged. You can contact us to discuss this. Week 4 - Beach Week In your last week you will travel to Koh Samet. A small island which has the most beautiful white sand and plenty of bars and restaurants on the beach. The only arranged activity this week is a boat trip, which will take you around the Island, where you will be able to snorkel, fish and visit the fisherman's village and turtle conservation island.

We would like to welcome you to Thailand, the Land of Smiles. Thailand has everything you can imagine to offer you. In the North, majestic National Parks and waterfalls. In the East, many historical sites and temples, the style of which is both Thai and Khmer. In the North East, the culture is both Thai and Laos. The Centre of Thailand, you can experience real Thai culture. In Ayutthaya you can learn about Thailands history and see real Thai style temples. In Bangkok, you can visit the Grand Palace or if culture is not what youre looking for, there are plenty of shopping malls to keep you busy. Off to the South East, you will find plenty of beaches, along the coast, including Koh Samet, with beautiful white sandy beaches and Koh Mannai which houses a Turtle Conservation Project. Pattaya is also located in this area and is a city that never sleeps. In the South, you will see the most beautiful beaches on different islands, including Koh Samui, Koh Pha Ngan, where the infamous Full Moon Parties take place. Koh Tao is one of the best sites for diving, as is the Surin Islands, in the Andaman Sea. Thailand offers something for everyone so why not visit Venus Volunteering and experience Thai life first hand.

Our experienced staff have travelled extensively throughout SE Asia and therefore have an in depth knowledge of the countries and areas we visit and work in. This will ensure that you get the most out of your stay, with Venus Volunteering, as well as having fun along the way.
Venus Volunteering works with and helps the local communities in Thailand to make a better life for the local people in different ways such as teaching English, school development and nursing programmes.
We also have animal welfare volunteering programmes and you can do your bit to look after sick and injured turtles and elephants.
If you love exercise you can try your hand at Muay Thai boxing or we also have a diving programme that you can choose.
