Description: In ancient time, Dali is a woman's kingdom. The legend is a story about Avastilosvara who became a local woman to rescue village people from a war in Ming dynasty. One day, robbers and enemies come to the village and started a war. An old lady was carrying a huge stone and the robber asked her why she was carrying so much, then she answered: "in the village, every young guy carries three times as mine." With this, the robber scared about it, then ran away.

Actually, in local village, you will see woman do lots of hard work in farmland; carry a lot of heavy things, you have to respect and admire woman there.

Shibao Mountain located in the northwestof Dali, contains Buddist rock carvings and temples of over 1300 years old with, amongst others, images of the Bodisattva Guanyin, and lady's produced organ. Local people offen worship for pray for giving birth no pain delivery. they are art treasures of the Nanzhan Kingdom and the Dali Kingdom.
Keep taking your steps, reach the formal residence of Rock the American scholar, you will understand why Rock said: I prefer dying amidst the flowers which at the foot of Jade dragon mountain rather than lying on the bed of Hospitals. Trekking around Tiger leaping gorge which between Haba and Jade dragon snow mountain, where the legend said the Tiger leaping cross there, where you will enjoy the incredible powerful of the mountain and river.

Yuanyang, Jianshui and Luoping lie in the relatively underdeveloped southeast part of Yunnan, Honghe Hani and Yi People's Autonomous Region, Yunnan, southwest of China. Because of relatively inaccessible part of Yunnan, the subtropical area escaped heavy development for tourism, and have so far been overlooked to a certain extent. It is not included in the Lonely Planet or any other leading travel guide books.

Yuanyang is renowned for its rice terraces crafted out, no sculpted by bare hands by the Hani people one thousand years ago, transforming a barren valley into a humid Eden; perfect for rice crops. The 1000m of mountain slopes of terraces is still in use today, claiming to be the world's most spectacular and extensive terraces. An optional gateway to Yuanyang, Jianshui is a little town with interesting historical Architecture.and relics, including a mini Tiananmen Gateway.

Itinerary
Landscapes and minorities experience of Yunnan (13 days)
Kunming - Dali Shaxi- Shibao mountain-Yuhu - Shuhe - Lijiang - Tiger Leaping Gorge- Jianshui - Yuanyang Kunming

Day 1: Arrival in Kunming. Departure from Kunming to Dali, stroll around Dali ancient town, spent one night in Dali hotel (B.L.D.)

Day 2: Departur at 9am in the morning, listen to legend about the Avaskavaya temple, and start the trek start from Gantong temple,adventure hiking through the valley, taking 4-5 hours,passing the waterfall and seven super ladies pool.Have a simple lunch in a tea house, and back Dali town(B.L.D.).

Day 3: Take bus to Shaxi, stroll around ancient town and local village, visit the traditional theater and temple, and most prosperity tea horse family in history garden, listening to the historical stories about the tea horse caravan trail, stay one night in the local traditional tea horse caravan hotel.(B.L.D.).

Day 4: Trekking to Buddhism Mountain Shibaoshan.

Stay one night over in Shaxi village (B.L.D.)

Day 5: Take bus to Lijiang, visit around Lijiang town. Stroll around Lijiang old town, black dragon pool, Mu masion, and Naxi museum then at night, enjoy the traditional Naxi musical performance,stay one night in Lijiang hotel.(B.L.D.)

Day 6: Pilgrimage from Shuhe-baisha-Yuhu village, trekking to Jade dragon snow mountain base camps,spent one night in Shuhe ancient town. (B.L.D.).

Day 7: take bus to Tiger leaping gorge, trekking from Qiaotou, spent one night in Naxi family guesthouse. (B.L.D.).

Day 8: Tiger leaping to Lijiang. Trekking from high way of Tiger leaping gorge to Tinas guesthouse, take bus back Lijiang(B.L.D.).

Day 9: Kunming
Morning flight to Kunming. According to your interests, scroll around Green Lake and Birds and flowers market, or visit Bamboo Temple or shopping around before transferring to the Kunming international airport.
