Description: Volunteers will live in close contact with black rhino, elephants, buffalo & all the other species of wild animals on the 10,000 acre conservancy. Come witness incredible animal relationships, hear their sounds, record vital information, & gain an appreciation of simplicity from the surrounding rural communities.

Black Rhino & Elephant Conservation

Highlights: During the late 80's, the peak of rhino-poaching in Southern Africa, the Dept. of National Parks & Wildlife moved the remaining 120 black rhino from the National Parks into conservancies. Since then, breeding has been successful. Calves, once weaned, are monitored & released back into the national parks. This has increased the numbers tremendously, but the work continues.
