Description:
Explore jungle, beach and mountains on this exotic tropical island. Assist local communities in their day-to-day life, while being enriched by their culture and traditions that are unique to this island. There are options to experience many exciting adventure activities throughout this journey including: diving, mountain climbing, jungle trekking and white water rafting.
Highlights:
- Involvement with ongoing community projects which include teaching, sports and construction - Participating in environmental project work in the lower Kinabatangan region of Sabah - A visit to the Sepilok Orang-utan Sanctuary - A chance to scuba dive and mountain/ jungle trek - PADI open water course included on the 8 and 12 week programmes - 2 days in Kuala Lumpur on the 12 week programme - Accommodation in Sabah locations including community camp, jungle camp and home stay
Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years, maximum 24 years - You will need to have a basic level of health and fitness due to the nature of the community work you will be involved in. Some of the work tends to be very physically demanding in the heat, however you wont be expected to work beyond your personal capabilities.
