Description:
Journey across North America from cosmopolitan cities to the wonderful wilderness on this 25 day tour. The amazing sights, sounds and people all around you make up the vital ingredients for an unforgettable experience. We begin in the Big Apple of New York City and head directly north to the French Canadian city of Quebec. This historic walled city is a great place for a two-night stop. We continue our journey through these French provinces with a visit through the twisting streets of Old Montreal and the capitals of Canada, Ottawa. Journey along the St Lawrence Seaway, from French to English Canada, with our next stop in Toronto, known for it's great shopping and endless nightlife. We will also visit the world's tallest tower, the CN Tower. From Toronto our next stop is a must-see, Niagara Falls! Take in these powerful waters on the included Maid of the Mist boat ride. Go to the base of the falls to see the thundering waters first hand! Cross the Georgian Bay Ferry on Lake Huron, one of the Great Lakes on the American border. Then travel up Moose Alley and try your hand at canoeing on the Great Lakes of Ontario. As we journey further through Canada the bright lights and big cities turn to serene prairies. With stops at towns such as Moose Jaw, Medicine Hat and Swift Current you will see the charms of Canada off of the tourist track. Mix in the local bars or visit the general stores in these small towns for a true taste of the Canadian countryside. We journey on to Calgary and the Rocky Mountains. The first National Park stop is Banff where you can swim in the hot springs, hike on a variety of trails or just enjoy the town. We continue to Yoho National Park for an optional white water rafting trip before heading north to the Icefields Parkway surrounded by mountains! Stop at picturesque Lake Louise on the way to Jasper, our final National Park. Canada's most beautiful city awaits us, Vancouver. A two-night stop should give us the time we need to soak up the atmosphere and stunning scenery of the waterways around Vancouver. We complete our trip by crossing the sound to Seattle. (Reverse itinerary departs Seattle hotel at 7:30am.)
