Description:
EPI offers 9 - 14 day residential experiential education field programs that focus on science education, conservation, and intercultural exchange. Participants collaborate with professional researchers conducting on-going research projects with conservation ramifications. In addition to collecting important data, students explore unique and sometimes threatened ecosystems in an effort to learn more about them and how best to protect them at home and abroad. Additionally, students are taught that every individual can make a positive difference in the world.
Highlights:
Costa Rica: Leatherback and green sea turtles; lowland tropical forests home to howler monkeys, sloths, toucans and countless other amazing species; rafting the Pacuare River; exchange with local participants; beach exploration; hikinig; restoration projects and much more!
