Volunteer Travel and immerse in the cultural journey in the heart of cultural India during summer 2008 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The journey will start in Jaipur with a week long cultural orientation week followed by volunteering work in day care centers (anganwaris) for the next 3 weeks. You get to work with local people, helping them hand to hand for the upliftment of children of the downtrodden society. End this memorable and meaningful journey by visiting Taj Mahal in Agra, now amongst the 'Seven Wonders of the World' Program Details & Itinerary Volunteering India Summer 2008 India program in Jaipur will provide you with a great cultural and volunteering experience of a lifetime. Volunteers will work in day care centers known as 'Anganwari's' in India, which are set up by the government but are usually in very bad condition. Volunteer work will involve working with children, doing some maintenance work at the center, teaching, playing and spending time with the kids. These centers all have women from the villages and volunteers will get a chance to work with them as well. Detailed Program itinerary is given below: Volunteer Travel during summer 2009 - 2010 and immerse in the cultural journey in the heart of cultural India in the capital of Delhi. The journey will start in Delhi with a week long cultural orientation week followed by volunteering work with street children for 2 weeks. You get to work with local people, helping them hand to hand for the upliftment of children of the downtrodden society. You would work 5 days a week teaching street children basic conversational English in the heart of Delhi.
