Blue Sky Brewery Bar & Restaurant

  Australia
  • Queensland:
  • Cairns,  Queensland

Description: Blue Sky Brewery Bar & Restaurant is a world-class venue and attraction located right in the heart of Cairns in Lake Street, and opened to the public on 4th August 2008.

With its bar, restaurant and function rooms, Blue Sky Brewery attracts locals and visitors alike, with its selection of boutique beers brewed onsite, comprehensive wine cellar, diverse modern cuisine, and dynamic, yet relaxed Tropical North Queensland atmosphere.

As our brewery is located onsite, customers will experience beer at its freshest, coming straight to the bar taps from the tanks. All of Blue Sky's handcrafted beers are unpasteurized and brewed naturally, giving a distinct depth of flavour and fresh taste not found in mass-produced beers made by larger commercial breweries. Choose from a variety of beers, including seasonal specialty brews and local's favorites, with alcohol ranging from 3% to 6%. We source the finest malts, yeast and hops from around the world and combine with pristine Cairns water to produce truly premium beers that compete with the world's best.

Opening hours: 10am - 12am Sun - Thurs, 10am - 2am Fri + Sat.

Regular brewery tours are conducted throughout the day, giving insight into the craft brewing process.

A knowledgeable guide will talk you through the main stages of brewing, with the highlight at the end of the tour: samples of a selection of beers for your tasting pleasure. Visitors can then learn more about the region's history of beer brewing in the Brewseum.

Duration: 20 minutes (approx).

Cost: $10 Adult; $5 Children (Under 10s free).
