Description:
Live on a remote ice cap in Chilean Patagonia for 40 days on this incredible GVI expedition. Learn the mountaineering skills needed to thrive in the backcountry, ultimately reaching a point where you will be able to confidently plan your own expeditions in future. Climb to the summit of snow-capped peaks, go rafting across crystal lakes, mastering the use of an ice axe, and learn cooking techniques to use after a day traversing an ice-field. Join this Patagonian mountaineering course and have the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of extremes that Patagonian mountaineering life has to offer! With a number of landscapes, weathers and adventures to enjoy on the way, this mountaineering course is bound to get you hooked... marking just the start of your mountaineering days! Certifications: Obtain a WEA (Wilderness Education Association) "Outdoor Leader" certification, a WMO (Wilderness Medical Outfitter) "Wilderness First Aid" certification, an Avalanche Level I Certification, and a "Leave No Trace" practitioner certification including 'Leave No Trace' camping and cooking skills.
