Description:
Join this GVI mountaineering course and experience one of the most awesome and remote places on the planet. In Patagonia you will master the art of mountaineering while living in the Campo Hielo Ice Cap region of Chilean Patagonia. This area is filled with towering mountain peaks, emerald lakes and vast glaciers for you to explore. The mountaineering course aims to get you to a level where you will feel confident planning your own expeditions in the future. You will acquire a number of mountaineering skills ranging from crevasse rescue techniques to environmental ethics. You will also go on a range of adventures that include traversing glaciers and crossing lakes on a pack raft. You may find it so enjoyable that this 21-day adventure marks just the beginning of your mountaineering adventures!
