Description:
The CAEP Domestic Apprentice Program provides Americans with paid opportunities to apprentice or intern with family farms and agricultural businesses throughout the United States. Apprenticeships last between 3-12 months and placements are offered in the areas of: Agriculture, Horticulture, Enology (Wine Making), Equine, Agribusiness, Citrus, Apiary and Turf Management. CAEP Apprentices receive employer validation of each skill that is listed as an occupational skill required for that industry according to the Department of Labor (DoL) apprenticeship guidelines. Upon completion of your domestic apprenticeship, you will receive a certificate of completion by CAEP and be eligible to have CAEP place you in international placements in one of 5 agricultural-related fields in 13 countries throughout the world to further your skills development. International skills validated in placements will be recognized by CAEP towards the award of an international skills certificate and be registered with the DoL as skills acquired towards completion of a domestic DoL certificate. The end result is worldwide experience, certification by the DoL towards employment opportunities, and opportunities to show potential employers your acquired world-wide skills achievements.

Qualifications:
Target audiences include: * Domestic 2 or 4 year students who are looking for validated internship in their current field of study; or, qualified individuals who have a strong desire for learning skills within their chosen field through hands-on participation and validation. * Incumbent workers looking to expand their careers through further education and work experience in other related employment. * International workers desiring education credit and credentialed work experience while participating in CAEP programs.

Cost in US$: $750 USD plus medical insurance and travel costs
Cost Include Description:
- $750 Administrative Fee - $85 per month Medical Insurance (if needed) - Travel Expenses
Salary / Pay: All CAEP Apprentices are paid a weekly or monthly stipend by their host that can range from $8-$12 USD per hour.

To be placed in our International Exchange Program, all applicants must have previous experience in their field or in our Domestic Apprentice Program.

CAEP 's Mission Statement: The mission of CAEP, a domestic and international agricultural training and exchange program, is to provide young people with educational and cultural exchanges that will promote a better vision and understanding of world cultures.
CAEP offers apprenticeships, internships and international training opportunities in agriculture, horticulture, turf management, enology (wine making), agribusiness, apiary, citrus and equine related industries both in the US and abroad.
The CA Education Program is an opportunity for one to gain valuable training, learn more about different cultures, strengthen communication skills, and improve one's employment opportunities in his/her home country.
