Typical Duration of Program: 2-4 weeks
Dates: ongoing

Description: If you want an experience that will change your life then this is it! If you feel it's important to make a difference and help the world's children then Sacred Childhoods wants to hear from you. You will have one of the most touching and valuable experiences of your life helping Indonesia's children to become empowered and improve their lives one step at a time. You will also find yourself in deep reflection about the substance of life in The West and find your own life's path in these poor but deeply spiritual tropical surroundings. Meeting with other like minded volunteers and becoming a part of this growing movement in collective awareness and action could be just what you are looking for right now.

Highlights: From start to finish, the highlights of your trip are the children themselves. Their faces will etch on your mind's eye forever more, the times that you kick a football around with them, the times that you cook and eat with them, the times that they look at you with thanks and love in their eyes. But in between that there are fantastic opportunities to do a range of activities including white water rafting, scuba diving, horse riding, island hopping, swimming with dolphins, jungle and volcano trekking and much much more.

Qualifications: If you care deeply about the welfare of the world's children and can sing, dance, make people laugh, play, do sports, be in nature, teach, swim, or go on trips then you're qualified to be a volunteer. Equally, if you have experience in IT and web design, accounting, business, project management, research or fundraising you can also be of immense help.
