Dates: On-going start dates

Description: Become a professional PADI dive master and work in diving centers around the world.

About the course;
Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational diving begins with the PADI Dive master program. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, in this program you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. PADI Dive master training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.

During the PADI Dive master program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems. You put this knowledge into action through an internship or series of practical training exercises.
-Knowledge Development: 12 topics ranging from dive theory to assisting student divers in training

Prerequisites:
-PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or PADI Rescue Diver.
(PADI or qualifying certification from another training organization)
-20 logged dives.
-18 years old.

-Minimum Number of Logged Dives needed: 60 for certification as PADI Dive master

The time needed to finish the course depends on the student progress. Estimated time to finish the course is 2 months. An open water level diver can use up to 3 months to finish the course.

PADI Divemaster

Highlights: The opportunity to stay for an even longer period working as an intern in our dive center will be offered to the students that show that they are of big help for our dive center instructors.

If you don't have any of the above mentioned prerequisites, we will offer you the necessary course (Open Water Diver) at an additional price.

The PADI dive master certification requires 60 logged dives, as we know there might be people signing up for this course with a small number of logged dives, and there are a lot of extra dives needed. We can give all of these extra dives for free; to pay for this the dive master student will work for the dive center.

    The Hellenic Foundation for Youth & Volunteering's Mission Statement: The Hellenic Foundation for Youth & Volunteering (HFYV) and its department (Ionian Sea Research Centre, Fiskardo's Nautical & Environmental Club) is a non-profit organization established on the island of Kefalonia (Cephalonia) in Greece in 1998 and deals mainly with the promotion of volunteering and youth mobility. Since 1999 we are a member of the European Commission supported project, European Voluntary Service and in the year 2003 we have been awarded as one of the 4 best projects in Europe. Parallel to this and since 2000 we are running various internship programs for shorter periods of time (1-2 months). From 2008 we work only with independent volunteers from all over the world on long and short term projects, from 2 weeks to 6 months. The Hellenic Foundation for Youth & Volunteering offers courses, volunteer projects/internships, work camps, and the possibility of learning experiences in the fields of research, rescue and environmental protection.
