Description: This GVI combination program gives you the opportunity to volunteer, work, live in and explore four different Latin American countries over the span of a six month journey through Central and South America. From the highlands of Guatemala to the jungles of Honduras, see the snow-capped peaks of the Andes of Ecuador and the deserts of Peru.

In all 4 countries you will teach on GVI-run teaching projects dedicated to teaching literacy and numeracy to underprivileged indigenous communities. During you time in Guatemala you will also build an energy efficient stove which provides cleaner air and decreases wood consumption. When you're not teaching, there will be plenty of opportunity to experience the gems these countries have to offer on the several side trips that are included in the program.

* How this program makes a difference:

Volunteers will be working in GVI's Programs, which provide educational reinforcement and first-time education, funded through volunteer contributions. We also run a food program. Without these projects, education would not exist for most of our children in Guatemala and the children in Honduras, Ecuador and Peru would not have access to primary reinforcement in the understaffed schools.
