Description: This awesome adventure in Nepal combines a month of volunteer work with a two-week trek to Everest Base Camp. Join GVI and spend a month living with a local family and helping on a variety of challenging, worthwhile and fun projects. You can get involved with the community at youth centers, teach at local schools or work at an orphanage. You also have opportunities to explore the surrounding area and attend language classes. At the end of your four week volunteering placement, you will be briefed on the trek to base camp and then fly to Lukla where you and your team will commence the 14-day return trip that takes you on an amazing adventure through some of the most breathtaking landscapes on the planet to the base camp of Mount Everest.

How this program makes a difference:

Aside from providing invaluable help with hands on work, volunteers provide a vital source of funding to the project. Through volunteer contributions, funds are made available to the different projects with which GVI works. This especially applies to the children's homes, most of whom have very limited resources and no regular income.
