Friends International's Mission Statement: By fostering global connections, Friends International is investing in people, in development, in peace, in solidarity. After all, friends do not bomb friends; friends have a heightened awareness of how their actions can impact people even thousands of miles away; friends share with friends. It is absolutely essential that people from different parts of the world have face time together if we are going to forge international relationships which we have to do if we are going to survive.
Friends International allows individuals, families and groups of all ages the opportunity to expand their horizons and become active global citizens through safe, unique, well-organized international travel opportunities that mix the power of sharing with the adventure and excitement of tourism changing lives for about the same cost as a trip to a resort in a typical travel destination.
Our vision is to contribute to a caring community and a caring world& one international friendship at a time.
It is the intention that individuals, couples or families with a passion for service would sign up for a 2 3 week trip. Ideally, 2/3 of their time in the host-country would be spent working on the volunteer project that has been set-up for them prior to their arrival and 1/3 of their time would be spent taking-in the local tourist attractions.
