Description:
Join Global Vision International, explore Southern Africa and learn about conservation in some of the most fantastic wildlife locations on Earth while also helping provide an education for underprivileged children in South Africa. You will begin by spending 5 weeks on a wildlife research expedition in the Limpopo province of South Africa, then you will move to a township outside Cape Town where you will assist at care centers or schools for 4 weeks. Finally you will journey to Namibia where you will spend 2 weeks protecting and tracking the mysterious desert elephant. How this program makes a difference: Each of these projects makes a difference in its own way. On the research expedition in South Africa you will collect vital data used to determine predators impact on prey populations, social structures, genetics and spatial movement. In Cape Town you will help to educate young children living in poverty. In Namibia your efforts will help build walls that protect community windmills while also allowing the elephants to drink.
