Study Spanish in Flamingo Beach, Costa Rica. Learn at CPI Language School
Costa Rica
- North Western Region:
Flamingo
Dates: Year round
Description:
Centro Panamericano de Idiomas (CPI) is the only Spanish immersion school in Costa Rica that allows students to study at three separate campuses, in three distinct regions of the country - Heredia, Monteverde, and Flamingo Beach. At each campus, we maintain the same high-quality teaching methodology, faculty, and administrative resources, to ensure students receive the same first-rate instruction no matter where they choose to study. Our programs are appropriate for families, college students, professionals, as well as retired couples. Our method emphasizes conversation and provides the students the opportunity to speak Spanish from their first moment in class. We tailor our programs to the academic goals of the student. The professors are open to teaching survival skills and grammatical structures which are most important to students. Mastering difficult concepts is facilitated by the small class size (Average of 2 students, 4 maximum). CPI's teaching methodology is based on daily conversations derived from the interests of the students. The conversations are guided by the professors and are supplemented by oral and written exercises as well as other activities in which the students can practice what they have learned. CPI's programs are designed for students of different levels (beginner, intermediate, and advanced and superior) with time periods of 2, 4, 6, 8 or more weeks.
Highlights:
Flamingo Beach is one of the top beach destinations on Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula. The CPI Spanish immersion school is nestled in the center of this quaint oceanside community, which, in addition to its beautiful beaches, is known its peaceful small-town environment and friendly local people. Despite its small size, Flamingo offers visitors a vast array of activities, including parasailing, canoeing, out rigging, surfing, swimming, horseback riding, kayaking, scuba diving, snorkeling, and checking out the animals at nearby wildlife refuges! For those students who would like even more cultural experience, the towns of Potrero and Brasilito, just north and south of Flamingo, have an authentic Costa Rican feel. CPI Flamingo offers the unique opportunity to combine Spanish immersion with an Open Water Diver Certification course through the most recognized scuba center in the Flamingo area. In Guanacaste students may visit the local reserves of Santa Rosa and Palo Verde, classified as dry tropical forests, ride horseback along the beach and surrounding mountains, visit Guaitil, a local community dedicated to the production of artisan ceramics, visit dozens of beautiful beaches located on the Guanacaste coast line, and participate in a variety of aquatic sports.
