On your Air Nuigini flight from Port Moresby to Hoskins in West New Britain, you will realize this is no ordinary adventure. Mountain ranges that top 14,000 feet divide the main island. The deeper valleys remained isolated until early this century, the land you fly over is occupied by people who have 700 different languages and cultures that are just as diverse. It's a rugged, spectacular landscape of dense jungle, snow capped peaks and brilliant waterfalls.

Above water, fern draped bungalows nestle amongst the rainforest along the beachfront. Walindi is not a large Dive Resort and that's the way we like to keep it. Catering to a maximum of twenty-four guests means you receive the undivided attention you deserve, yet the freedom to feel every dive has been made for you alone. Underwater, Kimbe Bay sports an incredibly diverse marine habitiat. World famous dives with names like Emma, South Bay, Inglis Shoals, North Emma, Christines's, Suzannes's and Restorf Island are only a few of the more than 200 reefs and dive sites sprinkled throughout Kimbe Bay. All are pristine and undamaged by a rigid policy of "look but don't touch."

The Walindi Plantation Resort, your final destination on the north coast of New Britain is world renowned. Voted as the best diving resort in the world by reader surveys, the resort guest book reads like a Who's Who in the world of Sport Diving and Underwater Photography. Kimbe Bay has an incredibly diverse marine habitiat. Each day we venture by diving boat to the scattered coral reefs (70% of the earths coral is here) around the island. You can dive for the 5 days we have planned, or as many of clients choose to do, join us on a tour to the interior of the island for 1 or 2 of your days on the trip. We visit primitive New Guineans' in their villages and view their subsistence lifestyle as well their interesting crafts, jewelry and art pieces. We also stop for a dip in a jungle river of hot water flowing from the volcano. This is not your typical vacation!!
