Description: Study, volunteer, travel, learn, and make lifelong friends during this enriching cultural immersion in China!

Join LoongBridge Chinese Immersion & Volunteer Summer Camp from June to August in Beijing!

We offer two programs, each 3-4 weeks, this summer:

1) Chinese Language and Traditional Arts (age 12-20)

Our featured arts classes will teach students to grasp basic skills of Erhu, Chinese painting, Tie-Dyeing, martial arts paper-cuttings, calligraphy, etc.

2) Youth Volunteer and Culture Program (age 14 and up)

Volunteers will get trained and teach in International SOS Children's village. See details below.

Both programs:
- Teach Pinyin, Survival Chinese, Chinese speaking/ reading/ writing, Chinese Arts;
- Offer tours in Beijing, Xi'an, Luoyang, Zhengzhou, Mongolia;
- Promote interaction with local Chinese students of similar age.

Detailed Highlights:

1) Chinese Language and Traditional Arts Program:

The program, uniquely designed for young students aged 12-20 years old worldwide, combines Chinese language and traditional arts classes with eye-opening and historic tours of China, to make Chinese language and art study a fun learning experience.

       * Featured PINYIN education for lifetime benefit on Chinese language study. Pinyin is a phonetic taught nationwide in China. Only with pinyin will you catch standard pronunciation and Chinese self-learning ability!
       * Students are taught in groups by levels and in small class sizes
       * 1-on-1 partnership with host school students in Beijing for Chinese practice, cultural understanding and friendship.                           
       * Featured Art Classes: Er Hu, Chinese Painting, Tie-Dyeing, Martial Arts etc. Rather than simply enjoy the time in the classes, students will truly grasp the basic skills of these arts. At the end of the program, a student will be able to complete a masterpiece of brush painting, perform a complete music tune with Er Hu, design and make a neck scarf or T-shirt using Tie-Dyeing technique, and more.        * Featured News photography and photo movie classes. Create your own photo movie and show your unique view about China as an entrant in the "China In My Eyes 2008" Photo Movie Competition.
       * Colorful cultural activities: visit museum, watch Beijing Opera, Facing/Masking Changing, Tea Art Performance, Acrobatic Shows, KunFu Shows.
       * Tours and trips to ancient capitals: Beijing, Xi'an, Luoyang.
       * Take a Mongolia grassland trip for an enhanced enjoyable time at the end of the program!
       * Parents or Teacher can accompany and take the language and arts classes for FREE.

2) Youth Volunteer and Culture Program

The goal of the program is to provide young students (aged 14+) with teaching opportunities in China, to help them get trained in English teaching, Chinese language speaking and culture and traditions understanding. It also promotes making friends, and having fun traveling around China.

      * Teach in the world-renowned non-profit, non-governmental, independent organization International SOS Children's Villages China (Beijing, Tianjin or Qiqihar), and contribute your share of love and care to abandoned, destitute and orphaned children.                                       
      * Earn 50 volunteer credits under official certificate.   
      * Receive training in English teaching before moving to SOS Village.
      * Learn survival Chinese and Chinese language in groups by levels and in small class sizes
