Immediate business opportunities available- - Woodland management - Campsite There are many projects available for voluntary organisations; colleges, work experience, conservation and history enthusiasts. - Path clearing, fence building,sign posts and benches. - Large overgrown kitchen garden. - Stream (and waterfalls). - Mill and retaining pond. - Orchards. - Stone Wall building. - Restauration of Fromagery. - Maze. The Chateau is built on a Hanging rock, (first built in 808) in the breath-takingly beautiful and undisturbed region of the Auvergne in France. With 400 rooms, 3 towers, court of honor, 12 hectares of park and forestland (untouched for years). Surrounding areas are that of: medieval villages, volcanoes, forests, gorges and castles. This particular castle is magnificently beautiful and has an outstanding history, including visitors such as Napoleon and Jeanne d`arc. The Chateau is closed to the public at the moment due to urgently needed restoration work. This is partly being funded by the government- yet much more help is being sought. There is a gate lodge available for use by professional voluntary organisations/organised projects. Also a field available for camping. The Proprietor and Managing Director of the Chateau are both originally from the UK (English speaking- and learning French!)
Qualifications:
* Qualified Tree Surgeon * Woodland Manager (with relevant experience)-this is an immediate position and business opportunity. * Team leaders to professionally manage projects and voluntary workers- within the Castle grounds and woodlands. * Voluntary workers i.e: People who are interested in historical and or conservation work, people who want to make a difference in the world and leave their mark to something wonderful, people who would like to maybe escape the city life, meet new people, enjoy the countryside and outdoor life, for health and experience and an adventure that will change your life.
