Durations of Program: 1-2 weeks and 2-4 weeks
Typical Duration of Program: 2-4 weeks
Dates: Many dates available for bespoke group requests
Description:
This is unique opportunity for a charity, corporate or organisation's group to spend time at the beautiful Khaolak Sunset Resort, on the south west coast of Thailand, just north of the island of Phuket. Divide your time between relaxing on a beautiful secluded beach and assisting on a number of volunteer project opportunities in the area. You'll also have the chance to explore the fascinating city of Bangkok and tiny fishing villages. Volunteer work in Khao Lak is mainly based around assisting a local school relief and teaching program. There will be opportunities to spend time with the children, playing games and helping them with lessons, teaching English and sharing vocational skills where appropriate. At another project, in Baan Num Kem, the volunteer work is generally chosen by the villagers based on their needs in the community. You may even be helping villagers build houses! Time will be spent at both projects and you will also have the opportunity to visit a local orphanage and spend time with the children there.
Highlights:
* Do Something Different - small group discovery adventure travel in Thailand * Make a Difference - volunteer in school relief, teaching and local community projects * Spend time seeing vibrant Bangkok
Qualifications:
No requirements, specific skills, education or certifications are necessary to book - just a desire to do something different and make a difference. However, only people permitted to work with children unsupervised (and who can supply the relevant paperwork to prove this) will be permitted to work unsupervised with children on our projects - and then at the discretion of those who run the projects.
