Dates: August thru December

Description: Successful applicant would help set up wilderness camps which includes cutting logs for large canvas wall tents, hauling in gear such as wood burning stoves, horse hay, horse gear, tables chairs, food, etc; building temporary horse corrals, cutting and splitting of firewood; hauling water.

Applicant would pack in by horseback gear for hunting clients and guide clients to the high mountain drop camps. Applicant would maintain and live at base camp except for trips into town for supplies and showers and of course R and R .

Applicant would haul out by horse pack clients' killed game and gear at the end of the hunt season. This is a job which still maintains the skills, challenges, and excitement of the frontier days.

Qualifications: Knowledge of horses not mandatory but very helpful; love of wilderness/ high country mountain adventure; comfortable with wilderness camping; willingness to help clients; willingness to work hard; comfortable with hunting and killing of animals; comfortble in a cowboy hat :); red cross card mandatory; knowledge of atv's good

Salary / Pay: applicant will be paid a salary or daily wage depending on skill level and will also receive free room and board
