Description: Central America remains one of the last undiscovered gems of world travel so expect to see travellers flock to its shores over the next few years. This is a great chance to beat the hordes and at the same time enjoy the company of two of the seas cutest residents; the leatherback turtle and the manatee. You'll start in pulsating San Jose, a town so vibrant even its name sounds like a song, before heading off to Gandoca to lend a hand on the world renowned turtle conservation project. When you've finished there you'll travel to Panama to visit the manatees and compare which country's Caribbean coast is the best, before dashing back to Costa Rica for a rousing end of trip celebration.

*Day 1 - Arrival into San Jose (Costa Rica)
Fly into San Jose International Airport. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your accommodation. You will have free time to settle in for the rest of this day.

*Day 2 - Alajuela and San Jose (Costa Rica)
Orientation and sightseeing in San Jose.

*Day 3 to 9 - Gandoca (Costa Rica)
Volunteer at project working with leatherback turtles.

*Day 10 to 11 - Bocas del Toroa (Panama)
Travel to Panama and stay in Bocas del Toro at a hostel for two nights. Accommodation and breakfast included, additional tours and meals not included.

*Day 12 to 19 - San San Pond (Panama)
Volunteer at project working with leatherback turtles and manatees.

*Day 20 - Puerto Viejo (Costa Rica)
Travel back to Costa Rica and stay in Puerto Viejo at a hostel for one night. Visit a local bar for Reggae Night. Accommodation and breakfast included, additional tours and meals not included.

*Day 21 - Alajuela (Costa Rica)
Final Day. Arrive back in Alajuela. Accommodation and farewell dinner organized at the hostel.

*Day 22 - Return home (Costa Rica)
You can arrange your flight back home at any time on this day.
