  Canada
  • All Other Areas in Canada:
  • Whitehorse

Term: Summer
Dates: June 5-July 4, 2009, July 11-August 9, 2009

Description: Take full advantage of the remote, pristine Yukon wilderness and travel abroad without leaving the continent! Perfect for those students seeking a shorter, non-whitewater course without giving up the amazing natural beauty of northern Canada or the chance to learn two distinct skills. With the diverse, captivating terrain, you'll be able to focus on developing the skills to lead your peers in small groups.

This new course type will pack all of its supplies for a month and won't stop until it reaches great remote hiking. There are two route options, both of which offer true expedition river travel with weeklong backpacking loops sharing incredible views to the rugged mountains and glaciers all around. You may even catch a glimpse of bear or caribou! And if you like to fish, you'll love the world-class fly fishing up here. In fact, this course has great fishing of all types.

With the adventurous routes and combination of skills learned, you'll come home an excellent camper and leader with an unparalleled appreciation for Canada's history and environment.
