Description:
Learn Spanish and volunteer in Oaxaca or near Puerto Vallarta, supporting local aid projects and NGO's. Explore Mexico with our ecotours, cultural and adventure trips. Ecotours aim to the discovery of local environment, flora and fauna observation, and general interaction activities with nature. Adventure Tours offer a direct contact with nature and include physically challenging activities like trekking, mountain-biking, rafting, kayaking, climbing, flying, diving and snorkeling. Historical and cultural tours include visits to historical and archaeological sites, provide information about local culture, traditions, and everyday life, and interaction activities with local communities. There also workshops with cooking and handcraft courses, and food and drink tasting. Other activities are focused on health and well-being, like yoga, meditation, and relaxation practises. Participants to cultural and nature tours are accompanied in small groups by anthropologists, biologists and local guides, cooperating with the native communities.

gloCaltravel's Mission Statement: gloCaltravel is committed in providing detailed information about the featured destinations in Mexico, an overview about the history, culture and traditions of the country, and tips and suggestions helping travellers to make the most of their trip, enjoying the local life, in a way that contributes directly to the local communities.
Our tours range from daily activities and excursions to longer trips exploring different regions, and are all focused on nature watching and on the discovery of the amazing archaeology and culture of Mexico, with interaction activities with local communities.
Ecotours and adventure trips include outdoor and sport activities like trekking, mountain-biking, rafting, kayaking, climbing, flying, diving and snorkeling. Cultural and historical tours include visits to archaeological sites and indigenous communities, language, cooking and handcraft courses, food and drink tasting.
Other activities are focused on health and well-being, like yoga, meditation, and relaxation practises.
Accommodation and tour providers are carefully selected among those who show an approach to the tourist development based on sustainability and respect for the environment, applying natural design principles, practising ecology policies (i.e. recycling, waste control, and energy and water savings), and creating an atmosphere where visitors can have an authentic travel experience. Participants to cultural and nature tours are accompanied in small groups by anthropologists, biologists and local guides, cooperating with the native communities.
