En Accion Program

  Peru
  • All Other Areas in Peru:
  • Iquitos

Durations of Program: 2-4 weeks and 5-8 weeks
Typical Duration of Program: 2-4 weeks

Description: The first, and principal program is: En Accion, a kind of project where participants share experiences in a small community in the jungle. In that place, they learn about life-style, and culture of the Amazonians. At the same time, they can help teaching English to small kids, and giving them directions about recycling materials, and care of the environment. We have some programs about care of environment.

The ecotours programs takes you to beautiful areas: the Alapahuayo-Mishana reserved area, or Pacaya-Samiria reserved area. Both are beautiful, and with special characteristics that makes them different one another.

We can say this is a kind of adventure tourism, but combined with a touch of help to the people who live in this remote area.

En Accion Program

Highlights: Wonderful places, beautiful nature, opportunity to birdwatch, see the real wildlife in the Amazon rainforest, a must for entomologists. At the same time, catch the interests of all people who love to share time giving to neighbours. Although those places are really amazing, and beautiful, people who lives here have low income, and poor resources to improve their life-style. If we can help them, even in something, it's a great help.

Qualifications: The volunteer/participant has to know a certain level of Spanish, it's not a must but helps. Besides, the participant has to be physically ok, and have all vaccinations in order to visit the Amazon jungle. They have to be ready to help in all chores activities, and be pro-active.
