Description: Challenging, tough - the Southern Carpathians won't give in that easily! You'll have to conquer them step by step, ridge by ridge up to the highest peak in Romania! Walk on the edge, and confront the bloody Count in his Kingdom - a rewarding victory for you in the end! One of the few tours in which the mountains are crossed from west to east in order to minimise the number of climbs!

Highlights: Highest peaks in Romania - Moldoveanu Peak (alt. 2544 m) and Negoiu Peak (alt. 2535 m)

Bran Castle - also known as Dracula's Castle the place where Vlad the Impaler (renowned as Dracula) was imprisoned.

Piatra Craiului Natural Park - with the most spectacular mountain walls in Romania, you can see here the rare chamois jumping from cliff to cliff.

Sfinxul, Babele and Omu - famous mountain megaliths shaped by wind and rain in human forms.

One night sleep at highest Mountain Hut in Romania - Omu Hut (alt. 2505 m)

Peles Castle - the most beautiful royal residences in Europe; the castle also served as the retreat residence of most of Romania's monarchs.
