Recommended Full Day Guided Nautical Tour The trip starts with a pick up at your hotel or lodging, after visiting BA coastline while heading to beautifull Tigre city for a short tour after we arrive to the Marina in San Fernando (very close to Tigre), you may enjoy a nice cofee with medialunas before staring the nautical exploration. After leaving the Marina on board the Barba we will enter Lujan River, water frontier dividing the continent from the islands. Yoou will get to know yacht clubs, week-end houses, Santa Monica Island, private and public boats and yachts sailing in the area. While in the Rio de la Plata estuary a fantastic view of Buenos Aires city will be a farewell as we start sailing into the rivers along the Delta islands and to the Biosphere reserve. After 60 minutes of navigation and crossing the Paraná de las Palmas (main route of cargo ships on their way up to Paraguay) we enter an enchanted area of never ending rivers, water streams and islands with jungle like surroundings. In the Aguajes del Durazno river, close to Los Bajos del Temor where the Biosphere reserve starts, we make a stop; beverages and snacks are served before lunch. It's possible to row in shallow water streams, bird watching, and fish Bogas or Tarariras, or in summer, swim in the river. In the surroundings a few small wooden houses from islanders living on fishing, hunting, wicker and reed are spotted here and there providing another perspective of the Delta islands. At midday, lunch is served (BBQ) in this beautiful spot or at close Hostels. While at Hostels and after lunch you may walk trough inland trail with my guidance to explore its exotic vegetation, birds, as the "pavita del monte" and a variety of hummingbirds, or just relax in hammocks over the river untill noon. Alternatively we may continue navigation in nearby rivers. At (5.30 / 6 PM) we start the trip back, navigating the Sarmiento river to the dock in San Fernando . Sunsets are unforgettable. -Starting: U$S 360 2 Guests / U$S 460 4 Guests / 560 U$S 6 Guests. Payment : Only cash ( U$S or Ar$) Reservations Required , no advanced payment to reserve just on trust. If weather doesn´t permit the trip, it will be cancelled (Storms / heavy rains) for a future date if posible. For small groups up to 4 passengers a pick up by your hotel is possible. Reservation is recommended, especially for weekends and overnight stays. Recommended Overnight Guided Nautical Tour: - Starting $US 750 2 Guests Hosteria Los Pecanes or Cabañas Delta lodging and meals are included. La Pascuala Delta Lodge extra. The first day has the same schedule and attractions as the full day tour above mentioned, except for lunch, only on board. At noon we arrive at the Hostelry for dinner and lodging. Next morning, after breakfast we start navigation to reach the Paraná Mini River through the beautiful Chaná river where the Chaná Indians lived. A relaxed, laid back, 90 minutes slow navigation tour. While in the P. Mini and where it ends over the Rio de la Plata estuary with magnificent and almost wild surroundings we may stop for rowing, fishing, small motor boat explorations or swimming. We may stay the rest of the day in the area or navigate 50 minutes to Aulicino pier where it's possible to stay on the island for lunch and relax where many Porteños stay overnight, sleeping in their yachts. A sand beach over the river is a safe spot for swimming in the river. At 5 pm. We start our trip back to San Fernando, estimating arrival after 2 hours of sight seeing and navigation. What to bring with you: - Confortable casual clothes. - Sun tan - Hat / Cap - Eyeglasses - Picture Camera - In summertime bathing suit and Towel. Departure: The cruiser "BARBA" is located at Marina in San Fernando, Province of B.A. (30 to 40 minutes by car from dowtown B.A.). You may enjoy to arrive to S.F. by train (Tren de la Costa) starting in Olivos Station, where afte 20 minutes you will arrive to Marina Nueva station located 400 meters ( 4 blcks aprox.) from the Marina.
