Study Spanish and Surf Cadiz
Spain
Dates: Every Monday
Description:
Combine learning Spanish with surfing in the vibrant and historic city of Cadiz (teh oldest city in the western world). This is the South of Spain! The 'Costa de la Luz' receives 300 days of sunshine (over 3000 hours!) per year. With a Mediterranean style climate and Atlantic surfing conditions, Andalusia has the right break for every type of surfer! While the rest of Europe freezes, the south of Spain still shines! The area of Andalusia from Cadiz to Tarifa offers excellent un-crowded surfing especially in the 'winter' months. Autumn to Spring has the best surf. In winter 6ft offshore breaks are not uncommon. September to April has excellent consistent surf. The big lows tracking across northern Europe send the swells southwards to pound the Spanish coastline and you will experience better quality swells during these months. The other bonus of Cadiz is that surf safaris trips are often run to both Portugal and Morocco. In fact Morocco is only three hours away!
