Description: Having in mind that over 90% of our volunteers are students, we have managed cost to such an affordable limits to enable many contribute, learn and experience by way of volunteering. Orphanages, Hospitals, Clinics, Schools, AIDS programs, are among the projects available.

We believe that local communities are in the best position to determine their needs, and we provide volunteers, technical and material support to help them achieve their goals. We also believe international volunteering promotes cross-cultural learning that helps create global awareness, understanding between cultures and the platform for positive change.

* Teaching:
We are looking for more volunteers, the role of the volunteer goes far beyond assisting teaching. Children are attracted to school by the presence of volunteers and your presence also is a proven moral booster for parents and the limited teachers as well as a great inspiration for students. Help us at least to keep the children in classrooms.

* HIV/AIDS:
Volunteers shall assist at the Aids clinics and work with community based organizations providing care and support for HIV/AIDS infected children and people, engage in educational and training activities to create awareness, assist in vocational projects and income generating activities for the HIV/AIDS infected persons who have lost jobs.

Areas: now 17 selected clinics and community based organization in total in Ashanti region, Central Region and Eastern Region all of Ghana and Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru and Maasailand all of Kenya

* Healthcare:
Volunteers support the local healthcare providers. Major duties includes offering first aid, injections, record patients history, temperatures, perform patients examinations, assist in deliveries, offer education to clinic attendants and community groups. Professional Doctors and Nurses shall be fully involved in diagnosis, surgeries and all functions of a doctor or a nurse. A wonderful opportunity for volunteers to become familiar with the challenges and health issues of developing countries. The equipment is quite basic and the amount and variety of medicines are very limited. Aspirants to medical schools, students in medical schools, pharmacists, doctors, nurses and nursing students benefit and contribute effectively to this project.

* Orphanage:
Volunteers help in developing creative programs such as art, music, dance, sports, assist in bathing the children, dressing and helping with their home works or putting them to sleep. Additional help on day trips, sanitation, cooking, and administration may be needed. One of the most wonderful opportunities that work in an orphanage can give you is the chance to share your love.

* Disabled:
As a volunteer with a project for the disabled, you assist in the training or rehabilitation or both of the physically disabled. Basic tasks may include, offering encouragement, care and support, assist the disabled in undertaking very common basic exercises daily, teach basic English during classes, teach a technical and vocational subject (If the volunteer has a specialized skill).

Orphanage, Healthcare, Teaching and HIV & AIDS Volunteer Programs

Highlights: Depends on each program. Generally. a volunteer is at work by 8:00 and works till 4:00pm. Get to socialize with new found friends and other volunteers you meet on projects after dinner at one of the several out-pubs with loud speakers blasting with irresistible African tunes and atmosphere filled with the African Aroma of Barbeque. Chat on anything ranging from local soccer, politics, sharing your shocks and work stories, immigration issues, etc.

It is such a wonderful experience to be in Africa. Do not miss that, you can come for even only two weeks so make time for this memorable, breath taking and life changing experience.

This is a general presentation. It may differ based on the type of program and town of placement as well as a volunteer's interest.

You may join friends for some drink or prepare for the next day's work

On weekends, you may decide to visit places on interest in the nation, think you may want to leave on Fridays and return on Sundays if it requires that you sleep over.

Qualifications: Generally as long as you are 16 years and above and can speak basic English, there will be something great for you to do. Plan to stay as long as you can - you'll never want to leave. Go with an open mind, don't worry, and just have fun!
