Students meet with and learn from pioneers in game capture and those actively involved in the field of wildlife veterinary science on a day-to-day basis. The program includes a Capture and Care Course where students participate in actual game capture operations. Students also observe the role that veterinarians play at a rehabilitation centre, a reptile park and a rare-species breeding ranch.
Highlights:
* Experience the thrill of a live game capture on our unique 5-day "Game Capture" course included in this program. * No other program provides for such in-depth exploration of the extensive and fascinating wildlife, ecosystems, and cultures of South Africa. AUIP South Africa is designed for active learning, emphasizing hands-on interaction with natural surroundings and local communities. * The exceptional academic quality of the AUIP Africa program results from a collaboration between AUIP and dedicated local professionals. * Have the chance to actually contribute to conservation efforts in South Africa. Don't just listen to problems, help solve them! * Local communities form an integral part of the safari. Learn about their culture and management techniques by staying in their villages and interacting with them one-on-one. * Experience Africa in a safe, supportive environment.
