Description:
On this remarkable adventure we travel to the beaches of Tortuguero, Costa Rica, the nesting site of more endangered green turtles than anywhere else in the Western Hemisphere. There we learn about the species and work towards ensuring their survival by assisting in research and protection efforts. Then we travel to Drake Bay to encounter turtles and a wealth of marine mammals out in the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. This eye-opening expedition to the remote and untouched corners of Costa Rica will captivate you and change the way you view the marine world.
Highlights:
Studying and tagging sea turtles with the Caribbean Conservation Corporation, diving in Drake Bay, hiking through Corcovado National Park.
Degree Level: Bachelors Degree (Undergraduate)
Qualifications:
No experience necessary. Many of our participants have never traveled internationally. All we ask is that you come with an open mind, a desire to try new things and ready to have fun. Our instructors teach you all the skills you need one step at a time.

Our college study abroad programs provide unique opportunities to study a single topic in multiple countries around the world.
