Description: GVI have teamed up with one of the US' leading experts in outdoor survival skills. Offering 28 day and 14 day challenging courses set in Southern Utah's glorious canyon country you can leave the high tech, modern world behind, explore the desert washes and mountain trails with little more than a knife, a water bottle, a blanket, and a poncho. In line with GVI's philosophy of conservation and minimal impact, these courses allow the individual an unparalleled experience in survival training. All courses are designed to cover these basics: desert ecology & travel, fire construction, campsite selection, trail hygiene, shelter location and construction options, water location and purification, nature observation skills and edible & medicinal plants.
