Description:
Leave the modern world behind and get back to basics in Southern Utah's glorious canyon country. With little more than a knife, a water bottle, a blanket, and a poncho you will explore the desert washes and mountain trails of Utah to have an unparalleled experience in survival training. GVI has teamed up with one of the leading experts in outdoor survival skills to offer both a 28-day and shorter 14-day course in wilderness training. Both courses are designed to cover the following basics: desert ecology & travel, fire construction, campsite selection, trail hygiene, shelter location and construction options, water location and purification, nature observation skills, and edible & medicinal plants. The courses are taught in-line with GVI's philosophy of conservation and minimal impact.
