Description: We are looking for people that want to spend a minimum of 10 weeks working with the outdoor center. It will be an internship of sorts; we are offering a beautiful house on the town square for you to stay in exchange for a few hours a day in the office 5 days a week. The Sarapiqui River is just amazing and you would be able to get out on the water everyday if you like. Your responsibilities would be that of an office assistant, making reservations, answering calls and returning emails. We are currently updating our website and are most likely to invite someone with computer skills to contribute. We have an overwhelming response of applicants so tell us what separates you from the rest! Highlights: The company is located in the small town of La Virgin de Sarapiqui. It is a great place to learn Spanish and explore Costa Rican culture. Although tourism is a factor, it is not considered a tourist area. La Virgin's flora and fauna are stunning; this is an excellent place also for those interested in exploring or studying the rainforest. There are many biological study centers in the area for those interested.

Qualifications: Qualifications depend on the position in the company. River Guide - all guides must have Basic First Aid certification, Swift Water Rescue certification, experience guiding rafts in class III whitewater, excellent communication skills, a basic knowledge of Spanish is desired and experience working in a rafting company is also preferred. The company also has positions for those individuals with computer skill and website experience. Web page design skills are in demand here at the Outdoor Center as well.
