Description: The Lodge at Chaa Creek is fully committed to sustainable tourism and natural history education. Our Natural History Centre and adjacent 365 acre private nature reserve hosts hundreds of local and international students each year. We facilitate field studies and research conducted by many local and international universities as well as scientific organizations.

Highlights: Experience the Mayan culture, rainforest adventure tours and Caribbean hospitality in an award-winning 365 acre private nature reserve. With our Natural History Centre, Butterfly Farm, Rainforest Medicine Trail, guided tours and nature walks along miles of trails and river trips, Chaa Creek is the logical place to begin any visit to Belize.

At Chaa Creek there are over 50 mounds of Maya structures constructed over 1,000 years ago. Chaa Creek is located in an area that was important to the Ancient Maya.

Our primary student program is entitled "The Natural and Cultural History of Western Belize". This program can be modified to fit the specific needs of individual student groups.
