Calling all wanderers and writers: why not do something different with your summer?

V!VA Travel Guides seeks dynamic and enthusiastic writers with a passion for travel, an adventurous spirit, and captivating copy for summer 2008 Travel Guidebook Writing Bootcamps and paid assignments in Latin America.

Boot Camps are week-long travel guidebook writing crash-courses. Students hit the ground running with active assignments, learn how to travel write and have work critiqued by seasoned professionals. This is a great opportunity for aspiring writers to gain hands-on travel writing skills and experience and get paid!

Bootcampers will also have the opportunity to stay on assignment as freelance correspondents after the courses and be compensated. Works will be published in new travel guides for Chile, Bolivia and Nicaragua.

Boot Camps to take place in:
Chile: May 26-30
Bolivia: June 8-13
Nicaragua: Aug 18- 22

Highlights:
* Learning how to write for travel guidebooks.

* Get published in an upcoming guidebook.

* Write, travel and get expenses paid!

Qualifications: Solid writing, some Spanish.

Cost in US$: $250

Salary / Pay: Applicants who stay on and go on assignment can get paid expenses for the duration of their assignment. Particularly dedicated and talented writers who produce at least 200 reviews for us can have their course fee refunded.
